Professor / Senior Advisor to the Chancellor
Dr. Jules White is Senior Advisor to the Chancellor, Director of Vanderbilt’s Initiative on the Future of Learning & Generative AI, and Professor of Computer Science in the Dept. of Computer Science at Vanderbilt University. He created one of the first online classes for Prompt Engineering (https://coursera.org/learn/prompt-engineering). His online courses have had over ~670,000 people enroll and have been covered in media outlets, such as The Wall Street Journal, CNN, and The Guardian. He is a National Science Foundation CAREER Award recipient. His research has won multiple Best Paper Awards. He has also published over 170 papers. He is an inventor on multiple patents and has launched several venture-backed startup companies.
